Terms of Service

1. The service

PlainFindings is report-formatting software for home inspectors: templates, a comment library, photo annotation, and report generation (web and PDF). We provide the tool. We do not perform inspections, do not review report content for accuracy, and do not exercise professional judgment on your behalf. Every report is the inspector's own work product — you are solely responsible for its accuracy and completeness.

2. Accounts and billing

New accounts get a 30-day free trial. After the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription ($39/month or $390/year, billed via Stripe). You can cancel anytime; your data remains exportable per Section 4 regardless of subscription status.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use PlainFindings to store or transmit content you don't have the right to, to misrepresent inspection findings, or to violate any law or professional licensing requirement applicable to you.

4. Your data

You own your templates, comments, inspections, and reports. You can export all of it at any time from Settings. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for the content, accuracy, or delivery of any inspection report, or for any damages arising from your use of the service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated by email to your account.
